Nafplio is close to Athens. You can arrive there by bus or by taxi, bus, and train.

There are plenty of hotels in Nafplion. For example, Anemos rooms and apartments, the Agamemnon hotel, Nafplia Park, and the Nafplia Palace Hotel. You can get better prices during autumn, winter, and early spring. Winter is usually mild in Greece, and you can enjoy walking.

In the busy season, prices go up and it's very hot. On the other hand, during the summer you can enjoy the sea. If you decide to visit Nafplio, book a room of your choice. The average cost for a 10-day stay is 55 euro for Nafplia Hotel per day for a family of two adults and two children. The Agamemnon Hotel charges 75 euro, Anemos rooms 75 euro, the Park Hotel 85 euro, and Nafplia Palace 392 euro for the same number of people.

If you book a cheap hotel, your expenses for ten days could be around 1500 euro for a family of four. (Room: 55x10=550 euro; food: 20 euro per person per day= 20x4x10=800 euro) Fees for museums/local centers of the city. Excursions would be 100 euro. So the total is 550+800+100=1450 euro.

Airport tickets to Greece and transportation fees from Athens to Nafplion are not included. Nafplio has a public hospital, pharmacies, and private doctors in case of emergency. So you'd better book a hotel in the center of the city. There are many restaurants in the city and fast food as well. You can taste the famous souvlaki at a cost of 2 euro each. Souvlaki is made of pita bread, meat, onions, tomato, and tzatziki sauce traditionally, but you can create it with your own combination of ingredients as well. Ask for a better price before you choose.
